BEGINNER~

I’m a beginner cosplayer, and created this blog for others to learn from my mistakes!~ ^^;
I love cosplaying, and have just recently gotten the time to dedicate to making a costume and prop for Otakon 2010 (Selty from Durarara!!). I love reading about other cosplayer’s process as they put together their props and costumes, so it’s my hope, through my craziness, other beginners will learn as well!
NICE TRY… ^^;
Elfen Lied: Nana
I have attended Otakon since 2006 (except 2009), but I was never motivated enough to create my own cosplay.
My first cosplay was in 2008 when I went as Nana from Elfen Lied… A friend of mine went as Nana’s dad and Lucy.
It wasn’t very good, because I’m no good at sewing! But with more time on my hands and extra, awesome motivation to really perfect my talents as a cosplayer, hopefully this year will be much (much!) better! ^^b
…and if not… better luck next year!
OTHER STUFF I DOES…

Besides cosplay… I love to watch anime… but I’m picky! I really love the serious dramas and fast paced action shows. My favorite is probably Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex 1st Gig… When They Cry (Higarashi Nonaku Koro Ni) was also really good… and many, many others~
I actually don’t play a lot of video games, but the few I have really gotten into include a few of the Final Fantasies (4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13)… I played FFXI Online for like… um… 7 years?? (Go Titan Server!) But my all time, mega-favorite series would be Xenosaga! Xenosaga 3 was the best, and I’m soooo sad they’ve canceled production on the other chapters… Kos-Mos was such a badass character, and hopefully one day I’ll be in shape enough to cosplay as her, haha!
I hope you find my blog to be a useful tool in your own cosplay projects, and if not… perhaps it will be entertaining to see all of my failed attempts! ^^; You can also find me on:
If you’ve got cool tips to share, please leave them in the comments or email me!~ I’d be more than happy to post any tutorials you’d like to share. And if you are going to be at Otakon this summer, I hope to meet you – especially if you are doing any Baccano! or Durarara!! cosplays!

/ April 12, 2011Hey there,
I just watched your review of the AT2020. I have used this mic for voice-overs for a couple of years now. It is a great mic. What interface were you using to input to your computer. If you are not aware of it, the m-audio firewire interface is amazing. Thanks for the review. BTW, I was never aware of Cosplay……interesting ! Do you speak Japanese? Care to tutor me in some?
Cheers
Andrew
